My mum signed me up with Liane Shaw Coaching and I was sceptical at first. But Liane was easy to talk to from the first session, and it was easy sharing what was going on with her. I looked forward to our weekly sessions. The sessions were not always easy, as Liane sometimes challenged me to think about things I had been putting off. But at the end of the session, I felt good and motivated to make myself a better person.

It was easy talking and sharing with Liane as she didn't judge me at all. It is hard to describe the coaching sessions, but at the end of the sessions, I felt better about myself. I felt that what I was thinking and feeling was normal, and it was ok to think and feel that way. Liane listened to me a lot and asked a lot of questions, and helped me improve my confidence and self esteem, and I feel a lot better about myself.

Before the coaching sessions, I was starting to get demotivated with school. I am a good student, but I just felt that I was not good enough. Through the sessions, I started to get my motivation back — not just to do better in school, but I wanted to do better in school. Liane helped me set goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.

We didn't know what to do with our son. He wouldn't listen to us, and we were worried about him. He was anxious over little things, and the more we talked to him about it, it just frustrated us. We approached Liane to work with our son. We didn't really step in much, but after about the fourth session, we noticed a change in our son. He no longer worried about small things out of his control, or rather, he didn't have sleepless nights about it. He learnt to let things go. He is continuing sessions with Liane (his choice), and we are happy to see him turn into a more confident young man.

We felt we were great parents, and we did all we could for our daughter. However, she just seemed to be upset sometimes, and we didn't know what to do. We approached Liane and she made us feel comfortable with her at the first meeting. She acknowledged we were trying our best, and that having a coach did not mean we were bad parents. (She also shared that her own children had their own coaches, which was not their mum.) For us, I think having a coach for our daughter was something WE had to get over. Fast forward two months, our daughter is doing well, we have a much better relationship as a family, and we are so glad we trusted Liane.
